Carteret, NJ –July 29, 2022 – FreezPak Logistics, a leading 3rd party food logistics company, announced the opening of a new location in Philadelphia, PA. The company first expanded into the Philadelphia market in June 2021. The latest facility adds to the roster of future locations for FreezPak as they continue to build a national infrastructure. By Q1 2024, FreezPak plans to have approximately 310,000 pallet positions.

The new facility, owned and operated by FreezPak, will offer cooler and frozen temperature zones and boasts over 165,000 in square footage. This location will also have 20 loading docks, 30 trailer parking stalls with container plug ins and 60 car parking. Land area sits at 7 acres and cooler dock boasts 26,802 in square footage. FreezPak Philadelphia will have 75’ building height for the freezer and 30’ building height for cool dock. Consistent with FreezPak’s other facilities, the location will offer cross docking, transportation, repacking, overseas container plug in, USDA and FDA, all within proximity to Packer Avenue Marine Terminal and I-95.

The new ASRS system bring FreezPak’s robotic fleet to 87 robots that can automatically store and retrieve goods. The facility anticipates 50 new jobs and is projected to open July 2023. The company will soon announce the opening of 2 more facilities location outside NJ.
