This strategic expansion marks a significant milestone in FreezPak’s mission to create a fully connected nationwide network of cold storage facilities. The Los Angeles facility will span 150,000 square feet with the capacity to hold 20,000 frozen and cooler pallet positions. This location will also offer overseas container plugs, USDA/FSIS/FDA inspections, cross-docking, port drayage, LTL/FTL transportation, dedicated fleets, repacking and same-day order fulfillment. Additionally, it features14 dock doors and the full suite of services FreezPak customers rely on including storage, distribution, transportation and advanced cold chain management solutions. The facility is located approximately 20 miles from the Los Angeles and Long Beach, CA, ports. As FreezPak’s first location on the West Coast, the Los Angeles facility creates a crucial link between the company’s existing facilities across 7 states and major metropolitan hubs nationwide. This expansion reinforces FreezPak’s ability to serve customers with seamless logistics solutions from coast to coast.

FreezPak, a fourth-party logistics (4PL) provider, currently operates 13 locations and is strategically planning additional facilities in key port markets throughout the United States and internationally. The company is actively constructing new facilities, including a site inJacksonville, Florida, expected to be completed in January 2025, and another in Norfolk, Virginia, set for completion in the first quarter of 2025.
